The Hall is run by its trustees on a purely voluntary basis, the trustees make up the management committee and it is these people, their families and friends who do the fund raising to keep it going. That, along with the money from hiring out the Hall is how we pay the bills, do repairs and improve facilities where we can.
The Hall has a current premises licence which covers music and dancing and allows the selling of alcohol. Under-age drinking is PROHIBITED.
The Hall can accommodate 300 people for dancing and other standing events, or 140 people seated. These figures must include any bar and catering staff, stewards and organisers. A floorplan can be viewed here.
As with all public buildings NO SMOKING is allowed inside the Hall.
Due to fire regulations no candles, tea lights or naked flames of any kind are permitted.
Evening events should finish promptly at midnight or before and consideration be given to neighbours when leaving the Hall.
