MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF OKEFORD FITZPAINE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MAY 4th 2004

Also present:- Mrs D Burt (clerk), Cllr Bignell (NDDC), Mrs A Calcott, Mr B Gillingham, Mr R Senner, Mrs M Charman, Mrs V Failes, Mr R Russell, Mrs Weeks, K Varley, G Myers, D Thomas, M Sheriff, A Joyce, Mr & Mrs Orriss, Mr Haynes, Mr Squires,

The chairman welcomed Police Inspector Nick Budden whose time limited because he was on call talked about 999 calls, policing and resources and answered questions from the floor about travellers, speeding and other issues.
The chairman thanked Insp Budden for his time and he left at 8.18 pm.

The chairman said that he had passed information to the Police given to him by a parishioner this had been acted upon and was ongoing. He said if anyone else preferred to give information in this way rather than go directly to the Police he was happy to help.

1) Apologies
Cllr Nelson (via Cllr Buckley), Cllr Campbell (DCC).
2) Election of chairman
The chairman called for nominations. Cllr Frampton proposed and Cllr Trowbridge seconded Cllr Burt. There were no other nominations. Cllr Burt was duly elected for the coming year.
3) Election of vice chairman
The chairman called for nominations. Cllr Mrs Buckley proposed and Cllr Corben seconded Cllr Horton. There were no other nominations. Cllr Horton was duly elected for the coming year.
4) Council representatives to other bodies
Village Hall Management Committee � Cllr Corben proposed and Cllr Horton seconded Cllr Burt, this was agreed.
DAPTC � Cllr Frampton proposed and Cllr Trowbridge seconded Cllrs Burt and Horton, both were agreed.
School Governors � Cllr Trowbridge proposed and Cllr Horton seconded Cllr Mrs Buckley, this was agreed.
Poor Lands Charity Committee � Cllr Horton proposed and Cllr Mrs Buckley seconded Cllrs Frampton and Corben, both were agreed.
5) Other representatives
Rights of way liaison officer (FLO) � Cllr Trowbridge proposed and Cllr Mrs Buckley seconded Mrs Calcott and Cllr Horton, both were agreed.
Local Public Transport Officer � Cllr Horton proposed and Cllr Frampton seconded Mrs Calcott, this was agreed.
Homewatch co-ordinator � Cllr Trowbridge proposed Cllr Horton seconded Mr Senner, this was agreed.
Tree Officer � Cllr Trowbridge proposed and Cllr Burt seconded Mr Eadsforth, this was agreed.
Youth Club � Cllr Trowbridge proposed and Cllr Frampton seconded Mrs Burt, this was agreed.
6) A.O.B. None
There being no further business proper to the AGM the chairman closed the meeting at 8-24 pm.
