MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF OKEFORD FITZPAINE
PARISH COUNCIL ON TUESDAY 28TH MAY 2002

Cllr B Trowbridge

In attendance:- Mrs D Burt (clerk), Mr R Loving, Mr R Russell, Mr E Fleetwood, Mr B Gillingham, Mrs V Failes, Mr R Ambrose, Ms A Tucker, Mrs M Charman.
1) Apologies Cllr A Frampton, Cllr C Nelson, Cllr A Campbell (DCC), Cllr M Bignell (NDDC)
2) Matters arising from May 22nd 2001 AGM None. These minutes had been ratified at the June 19th 2001 Parish Council meeting.
3) Election of Chairman
The chairman called for nominations. Cllr Trowbridge proposed and Cllr Thorne seconded that Cllr M Burt be elected for the coming year. There were no other nominations, the vote for Cllr Burt was unanimous and he was duly elected. Cllr Burt thanked everyone for their support.
The chairman signed a declaration of acceptance of office.
4) Election of vice-chairman
The chairman called for nominations. Cllr Mrs Calcott proposed and Cllr Thorne seconded that Cllr Trowbridge be elected for the coming year. There were no other nominations, the vote for Cllr Trowbridge was unanimous and he was duly elected.
5) Council Representatives to Other Bodies
Village Hall Management Committee Cllr M Burt
D.A.P.T.C. Cllr M Burt
School Governors Cllr C Nelson
Poor Lands Charity Committee Cllr A Frampton and Cllr E Thorne
All the above were elected en bloc.
Clerk�s note � Cllr Nelson and Cllr Frampton had indicated prior to the meeting their willingness to continue in the above roles.
6) Other Representatives
Rights of Way Liaison Officer (FLO) Cllr Mrs Calcott
Local Public Transport Officer Mr B Gillingham
Homewatch co-ordinator Mr E Fleetwood
All the above were willing to continue.
Tree Officer vacant
The clerk had written to the previous tree officer and received no reply. This post is now vacant, clerk to ask via the Parish magazine for anyone interested to come forward.
7) A.O.B. none
There being no further business proper to the AGM the chairman thanked everyone and closed the meeting at 7-37 pm.
